Roots FM 96.1 to broadcast sessions of the 190th Annual General Conference

Kingston— Saturday, April 4, 2020 Today and tomorrow will mark the first local broadcast of the Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Jamaica. Local radio station, Roots FM, will broadcast four of the five general sessions taking place this weekend. The radio station will air the three sessions scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 11:00 am – 1:00pm, 3:00pm – 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The Sunday morning session scheduled to occur on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at 11:00 am – 1:00 pm will also be broadcast.

Making the Conference more Readily Available

The decision to air the conference on the local radio stemmed from concerns that in the midst of the CoVID-19 pandemic, members of the Church would be unable to gather to meetinghouses
