Jamaica Red Cross Recognized the Church Humanitarian Department - Jamaica
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Jamaica was awarded a Humanitarian Services Award from the Jamaica Red Cross (JRC) who has recognized the invaluable contribution made by the church to their Emergency Response and Youth Development Services.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Jamaica was awarded a Humanitarian Services Award from the Jamaica Red Cross (JRC) who has recognized the invaluable contribution made by the church to their Emergency Response and Youth Development Services. The presentation was made during the JRC's Bi-ennial General Service held at the National Police Academy of Jamaica, on March 30, 2019.
The award is as a result of services rendered through LDS Charities, the Humanitarian department of the church, at the JRC School of Transformation in Central Village, Spanish Town and also in Clarendon.
During the meeting, President Parker (Mission President for the Jamaica Kingston Mission) presented a copy of the "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" to Dr. Dennis Edwards, President of the Jamaica Red Cross.
