Because of the unique significance of this event among members, many express their feelings and expectations regarding the visit.

"When I was aware of the news that President Russell Nelson was coming to Puerto Rico, it was a great joy for me and for my family. We are very happy for his visit," highlights Anni Rodríguez.

Elder Durán, who is serving a mission in Puerto Rico, expresses his joy and confidence about the positive impact this visit will have: " I got so excited because it is a great blessing for an island that has gone through a lot of trials. Many people, after listening to the prophet, will be encouraged and lifted spiritually."

Other people who will see the proceedings from their meeting houses in the different countries of the Caribbean area, also express their interest and gratitude for this historic event. "I am actually really excited that President Nelson is coming to the Caribbean. I am really excited to hear what he has to say and to learn more from him, and just how I can draw closer to the Lord from him," says Alexa Brown from Jamaica.

Sister Shanique Sutherland, who recently returned to her home in Jamaica after serving an 18-month mission, also reports her impressions after hearing the news: "I just want to feel his love a little bit more, here at home with my family as well, and the people that I know and love. I really look forward to hearing the counsel that he gives, and to apply it to my own life. I am truly grateful."
