Below is a transcript of his full message.

“As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we value plurality and respect the diversity of beliefs. The knowledge that we are all children of God gives us a vision of the value of others and the ability to rise above prejudice by understanding that we are all brothers and sisters. That is why, as World Religion Day is celebrated, I wish to raise a plea to God so that, in this new year, we may face the challenges more strongly, with more optimism, and enthusiasm, putting all our hope into our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.

With reverence, I now would like to unite my faith with yours through a prayer to God, wishing we come out triumphant of the current situation we face.

Heavenly Father, I bow my head before Thee to thank Thee for the wonderful opportunity to share this message. Thank Thee for Jesus Christ, for Thy gospel in our lives, for Thy teachings. I thank Thee Father for the blessings and knowledge of the gospel, and that we have a Savior today. We ask Thee on this occasion that Thou can bless us. May Thou especially bless those who are struggling because of Covid-19. Equally comfort their families, that they can have faith and trust in Thee, and be willing to expect Thy will to be fulfilled in each case. We ask Thee this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Thank you, very much, and happy World Religion Day.”
